The Progressive AI Lab is a program of the Higher Ground Institute, a joint initiative of Cooperative Impact Lab and Higher Ground Labs. The work began at Higher Ground Labs and now runs through the Higher Ground Institute, which launched in January 2025.
AI Campaign Stack is the Progressive AI Lab's flagship resource: a community-powered directory of more than 50 vetted AI tools and workflows for organizers and organizations, spanning communications, fundraising, field, and research, plus guides, skills, and a beginner-friendly starting point.

The Progressive AI Lab began at Higher Ground Labs, where it funded incubation grants, ran training and programming, and published research for the progressive ecosystem. Those materials, including the 2024 Progressive AI Lab Report, remain available on the Higher Ground Labs site. The work now continues through the Higher Ground Institute.
